These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. Core responsibilities

  • Work with several diverse vendors to choose the best product mix, both in-store and online.
  • Determine where to localize, while calibrating market positioning and acting as brand managers.
  • Own a wide SKU count so that your work is varied and challenging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence and negotiate with vendors to achieve results and identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive category results while managing progress toward sales and margin goals.
  • Sources appropriately for your category through partnerships with product designers and/or category managers and vendors.
  • Interacts with Associate Buyers, Senior Merchandise Specialists, the Pricing and Promotion Center of Excellence, Planning, Site Merchandising, the Item Center of Excellence and many other expert partners in support of your promotional planning work across channels.

About you

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of Merchandising experience
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills to grow a business
  • Strong collaboration skills to partner with Cross Functional Teams
  • Flexibility, resilience and comfort working in “grey areas” that are constantly changing
  • Consumer and trend-obsessed, able to monitor and predict trends and position Target for early success
  • Self-starter that works quickly and solves problems, chases opportunities and can operate on tight timelines

    The pay range is $73,000.00 - $132,000.00. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications.

    Schedule

    This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
