About the Role

The Busperson plays a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by supporting servers, maintaining table cleanliness and readiness, and ensuring dining areas meet the highest standards of service and presentation. This position assists with resetting tables, replenishing service items, clearing dishware, maintaining beverage stations, and attending to guest needs such as water, coffee, tea, and soft drinks—all in alignment with the luxury standards of the hotel.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of hotel/restaurant Food Runner/Busperson experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid Clark County Health Card

Responsibilities

  • Maintain guest focus at all times and provide courteous assistance with beverages such as water, coffee, tea, and soft drinks
  • Assist servers with guest needs, table maintenance, and station support
  • Quickly and properly set and reset tables according to department standards
  • Organize, clean, and maintain dining areas, beverage stations, side stations, and storage areas
  • Restock dishes, silverware, linen, and other service items throughout the shift to ensure smooth operations
  • Carry trays, dishes, glassware, tablecloths, and napkins to the kitchen
  • Break down and properly store soiled linen and dirty dishware in designated racks or bins
  • Deposit trash and scrap food into appropriate containers; maintain cleanliness of floor areas under and around tables
  • Follow directions carefully and ask for clarification when needed
  • Complete all reasonable requests made by management within capabilities
  • Perform assigned side work, restock supplies, and maintain service areas throughout the shift
  • Ensure personal appearance meets luxury hotel standards—neat, clean, and well-groomed at all times

Essential Job Functions

  • Work is performed in a restaurant environment and in other locations throughout the property
  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; when on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud
  • Smoking is permitted in casino areas consistent with Nevada state regulations
  • Interacts with management, fellow Associates, and/or guests
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and coworkers
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (five hours or more)
  • Ability to lift and carry trays up to 30 lbs
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, upscale environment
  • Requires transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 40 lbs
  • Requires eye/hand coordination
  • May require use of standard office equipment (Micros System)
  • May require basic math with the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
  • Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS), and other instructions
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals
