About the role
As a Bus Person at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our dining areas while assisting food servers in delivering exceptional guest service. This position is essential to ensuring a seamless and memorable dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Stock and maintain the bus/dish cart station, ensuring necessary supplies, silverware, dishes, and paper products are available.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bus station area(s) and perform assigned opening duties to ensure a guest-ready dining room.
- Remove unused settings, clear dirty dishes, and provide water, coffee, ice tea, and soda refills as requested.
- Pre-bus tables by removing excess dishes throughout the shift and assist food servers with guest service.
- Greet and seat guests when a host/hostess is not present.
- Clear and reset tables promptly after guests depart, ensuring proper sanitation and table setup according to company expectations.
- Use a tray or bus tub to clear tables and deliver beverages, and transport dishes to the dishwashing area.
- Sort and separate silverware, dishes, and glassware in accordance with established guidelines.
- Maintain thorough housekeeping practices of the assigned station before, during, and after shifts, including floors, walls, chairs, and tables.
- Empty and clean restaurant trash cans as needed, and retrieve discarded tableware or kitchen utensils.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a bus person or in a similar role is helpful but not required.
- Ability to lift and transport large amounts of dishes and silverware, occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Must be guest-oriented, professional, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Alcohol Awareness certification is required (can be obtained after hiring).

Work Environment
The Bus Person works on-site at the casino and interfaces regularly with guests, team members, and vendors. The work schedule varies and may include weekends, evenings, and holidays based on operational needs.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
