About the role

The Business Technology Manager is MCF’s internal execution owner for business technology, operational transformation, and acquisition-readiness initiatives. The role translates leadership priorities into completed work, owns the Microsoft 365 and SharePoint operating environment, manages the MSSP and other technology vendors, and leads change management and adoption across the Firm. This is an internal position that manages the Firm’s business technology and helps drive improvements and readiness for growth. It is not an infrastructure engineering, enterprise data, or Salesforce administration position.

Responsibilities

  • Digital Transformation & Project Execution
    • Maintain the Firm’s operational and business technology roadmap, project portfolio, priorities, dependencies, risks, decisions, and executive status reporting.
    • Lead cross-functional initiatives from intake through implementation, including business requirements, project plans, testing, communications, training, adoption, and benefits realization.
    • Create visibility into what is on track, what is at risk, what is blocked, and what decisions are required from leadership.
    • Standardize project methods, documentation, ownership, and follow-through across internal teams and external vendors.
  • Microsoft 365, SharePoint & Power Platform
    • Serve as the business owner for Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID governance, security groups, permissions, access processes, and user experience.
    • Lead SharePoint modernization, including information architecture, site structure, document organization, permissions, governance standards, migration coordination, training, and adoption.
    • Own Power Platform governance, intake, prioritization, standards, documentation, and adoption.
    • Design and build straightforward Power Automate workflows and coordinate external or specialist resources for complex applications, integrations, or enterprise-grade automations.
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify practical automation opportunities that improve the client experience, scalability, employee experience, or cycle time.
  • Technology Operations & Vendor Management
    • Serve as the day-to-day business owner for the MSSP, data/AI vendors, Microsoft partners, and other assigned technology providers.
    • Manage vendor performance, service issues, deliverables, licensing, renewals, documentation, escalation, and accountability.
    • Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, provisioning, deprovisioning, hardware deployment, phone setup, security groups, access requests, and periodic access reviews with the MSSP and internal stakeholders.
    • Maintain clear technology operating procedures, asset inventories, project ownership records, and escalation paths.
  • M&A Integrations
    • Lead assigned Operations workstreams for acquired RIAs, in partnership with the dedicated Integration Team and functional leaders.
    • Coordinate employee technology onboarding, access and permissioning, hardware, phone cutovers, Microsoft 365 readiness, assigned vendor transitions, documentation, testing, training, and day-one support.
    • Maintain detailed readiness plans, dependency tracking, issue escalation, and post-close stabilization follow-through.
    • Ensure acquired employees understand new processes, technology tools, support channels, and operating expectations.
  • Change Management, Adoption, & Team Leadership
    • Own stakeholder communication, training, adoption planning, feedback loops, and reinforcement for assigned technology and operational initiatives.
    • Measure adoption and address gaps after implementation rather than treating deployment as project completion.
    • Provide direction, prioritization, coaching, and accountability to assigned team members, initially expected to include the Operations Associate after a transition period.
    • Coordinate closely with Operations, Compliance, Client Service, and the Integration Team without duplicating technical work or functional ownership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, technology, business, operations, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in technology operations, business systems, digital transformation, program management, consulting, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple cross-functional initiatives and holding internal stakeholders and external vendors accountable for outcomes.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID concepts, access governance, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Practical Power Automate experience, including the ability to design and build straightforward business workflows and recognize when specialist development is required.
  • Experience managing an MSP or MSSP relationship and coordinating onboarding, access, devices, communications platforms, and other technology operations.
  • Excellent executive communication, organization, judgment, follow-through, and change leadership.
  • Financial services, professional services, consulting, or acquisition-integration experience strongly preferred.
