BUSINESS TAXES SPECIALIST I, BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
About the role
The Business Taxes Specialist (BTS) I plays a key role in the tax compliance process. They independently conduct reviews, provide technical guidance, and manage the most complex and sensitive tax compliance work. They also develop, revise, or maintain training course materials and prepare replies to issues of tax law and compliance function policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Reviews cases and assigns tasks

- Develops, revises, or maintains training course materials
- Serves on special project committees
- Prepares replies to issues of tax law and compliance function policies and procedures
Requirements
This position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and three years of progressively responsible experience in tax compliance or a related field. Experience with tax laws and regulations is preferred.
Qualifications
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Pay
$8,052.00 - $10,079.00 per year
Schedule
Hybrid schedule, with a minimum number of days required to report to the office.
