About the Role
Robert Half is seeking a senior-level Business Systems Analyst III to analyze business challenges and deliver technology solutions that improve processes, efficiency, and business outcomes. This role is responsible for requirements gathering, solution design, integrations, testing, implementation, documentation, and production support for Workday Financials, Payroll, and HCM.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable system solutions.
- Ensure applications align with business objectives, operational processes, and strategic goals.
- Review and provide guidance on solution designs, requirements, and implementation approaches.
- Lead and support complex projects, system enhancements, and business process improvements.
- Develop implementation strategies in partnership with business stakeholders.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend solutions that balance business needs and technical capabilities.
- Ensure implemented solutions meet business and user requirements.
- Support and maintain Workday Financials, Payroll, and HCM solutions.
- Lead integration analysis, documentation, testing, and post-production support activities.
- Analyze upstream and downstream system dependencies and integration impacts.
- Partner with developers, QA teams, and business users to deliver system enhancements and integrations.
- Ensure production support processes are in place for enterprise applications.
- Gather, document, and validate detailed functional and technical requirements.
- Create process flows, business workflows, specifications, and supporting documentation.
- Plan and support unit, integration, user acceptance, and deployment testing activities.
- Track milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and project risks throughout the development lifecycle.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder communications.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and day-to-day support to entry-level Business Systems Analysts.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday and enterprise business applications.
- Contribute to delivery standards, processes, and best practices.
- Support organizational change management initiatives and user adoption efforts.
- Collaborate with business leaders, technical teams, and project stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate degree, certification, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise business applications.
- 3+ years of experience with Workday, including integrations and business process support.
- Strong understanding of Workday Financials, Payroll, and HCM environments.
- Experience with requirements gathering, business process analysis, testing, documentation, and SDLC methodologies.
- Working knowledge of SQL, security administration, and enterprise system architecture.
- Ability to create process flows, business requirements, technical specifications, and complex documentation.
- Experience performing fit-gap analysis, troubleshooting issues, and supporting enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead meetings, manage multiple priorities, mentor team members, and support cross-functional projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
