About The Role We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our team and lead critical business analysis efforts that align strategic objectives with effective technology solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business leaders, stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to gather and analyze requirements, evaluate existing processes, design innovative solutions, and support the full lifecycle of project delivery from conception to implementation. The ideal candidate will possess strong business and systems analysis skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to translate complex needs into clear, actionable plans that generate operational and business value. This position offers flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid setting and is suited for proactive, analytical professionals who excel in collaborative environments, especially when navigating complexity and ambiguity. Your responsibilities will include requirements elicitation, process and data analysis, SQL scripting, Agile practices, documentation, testing support, and cross-functional communication. The role requires sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to influence outcomes, support users, and ensure solutions are aligned with organizational priorities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred in health-related fields, business, computer science, or related areas, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.10+ years of experience in business or systems analysis within the IT development field, including at least three years in the healthcare industry.Proficiency in documenting logical diagrams, workflows, and various forms of documentation to facilitate understanding of current and future states.Familiarity with advanced IT concepts, service-oriented architecture, web services, and application lifecycle management.Experience designing intranet and web-based systems.Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and database structure and design.Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, change management, and Agile methodologies such as SCRUM.Experience working with application lifecycle or test management tools like Azure DevOps or similar.Highly self-directed with a desire to understand and improve system processes.Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Lead requirements elicitation sessions and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements following formal analysis practices.Analyze current systems, workflows, and operational needs to identify gaps, assess feasibility, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Evaluate the impact of corporate initiatives on existing applications and processes to maximize value delivery.Gather detailed input, output, reporting, and data requirements to support system enhancements and innovative solutions.Develop functional, conceptual, and logical design documentation, including data models and business cases.Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution, facilitating scenarios and ensuring traceability to requirements.Maintain comprehensive system documentation and contribute to implementation, conversion, and change management plans.Coordinate approved changes through development, testing, and deployment phases, ensuring quality and adherence to scope.Provide operational support for systems, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining ongoing application health.Partner with developers, DBAs, project managers, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver solutions effectively.Assist with complex datasets, reports, and data-related production issues, ensuring data integrity and system performance.Evaluate packaged software solutions and act as a liaison between vendors, IT teams, and business users for technical issues.Research and recommend new or replacement systems aligned with strategic and operational needs.Collaborate with business partners to shape long-term visions and prioritize backlogs to deliver strategic value.Lead digital product development efforts in partnership with project teams, ensuring timely delivery and quality.Mentor and guide less experienced analysts, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth.Support the development of training materials and user education initiatives for new or enhanced systems.Ensure functional areas are prepared for system changes, implementations, and conversions through effective communication.Leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency, improve output quality, and adopt new technologies in line with organizational policies.Comply with Paradigm’s information security policies, safeguarding sensitive information and reporting incidents as required.
