Business Systems Analyst
About the role
The Business Systems Analyst at Connexus Energy serves as the bridge between business needs and technology solutions. They partner with stakeholders across the organization to analyze business challenges, improve processes, and implement technology solutions that drive operational excellence. This role involves leading software upgrades and enhancement projects, troubleshooting and resolving application issues, documenting and improving business processes, and collaborating closely with software vendors and internal technology teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead software upgrades, enhancements, and new technology initiatives.
- Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process and system improvements.
- Cook up cross-functional project teams and may serve as project manager for assigned initiatives.
- Develop test plans, coordinate testing activities, and support implementation efforts.
- Support business applications by investigating and resolving application issues to maintain system reliability and data integrity.
- Collaborate with technical teams, business users, and software vendors to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Evaluate software patches, fixes, and new functionality.
- Create and maintain reports that provide users with meaningful business insights.
- Analyze and improve business processes by facilitating requirements gathering and process-mapping sessions with business teams.
- Document current and future-state business processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance user experience.
- Develop clear documentation for process improvements and system changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or a related role.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Experience analyzing complex business processes and recommending solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
- Nice to have:
- Experience working within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with business process mapping and workflow documentation.
- Experience with construction management or field service applications.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of relational databases.
- Experience with PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, and SharePoint Online.
- Project management experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise business applications and working directly with software vendors.

Pay
The expected hiring range is between $88,900 - $116,655. The final compensation offered is based on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, and skill level. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus with a target payout of 8% based on company performance.
