Business Systems Analyst
About the role
The Business Systems Analyst works under the Business Systems Manager to support all aspects of our business systems. This position involves identifying process enhancements and systems design opportunities, improving the efficiency of the systems, solving organizational process problems, and providing routine production support through business and system solutions.
Responsibilities
- Works with user groups, functional managers, development teams, and project and IT teams to identify process enhancements and systems design opportunities, and to improve the efficiency of the systems.
- Solves organizational process problems by analyzing requirements and recommending system changes and procedures.
- Improve training and operational procedures within a business to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Work directly with functional departments to understand the individual needs of the business.
- Define project requirements by identifying project milestones.
- Drive project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, and recommending change.
- Provide routine production support through business and system solutions.
- Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users.
- Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
- Consult with department managers to develop system solutions consistent with organizational objectives.
- Create, update, and analyze production and supply chain reports utilizing data within the SAP reporting warehouse.
- Work with Technical Support and IT teams to update data within SAP via mass update transactions and Variant Configurator uploads to SAP production instance.
Requirements
- Likely authorized to work in the United States without requiring Sponsorship.
- Available to work on-site daily in Hobart, Indiana Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm CST.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, formulas, and data analysis tools.
- Hands-on experience with Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP for data management and reporting processes.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality output.

- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or Engineering or a related field and 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of SAP operation and maintenance experience across the following - Batch Management, Demand Planning, MRP, Production Planning Detailed Scheduling (PP-DS), Production Execution (PP-PI), Project Systems, Purchasing, Materials Management, Inventory Management (EWM).
- Experience in computer system validation, authoring CSV deliverables, execution of testing, resolving of defects.
- 3+ years manufacturing industry experience preferred.
Skills
- Ability to deal with conflicts and employee issues in a professional manner.
- Technical orientation with ability to learn new technologies.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Excel.
