Job Summary
A Business Systems Analyst works with an IT services team supporting a large enterprise user population. Responsibilities include analysis, coordination, administration, and software license solutions. The position involves working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to allocate and monitor IT resources, including various software licenses.
Responsibilities
- Develop and recommend solutions based on business analysis.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into technical requirements to support IT equipment distribution according to IT policies, procedures, and standards.
- Manage the 0365 application request to approval process.
- Participate in project data gathering as assigned.
- Develop and document business cases, scope, plans, business/functional requirements in IT tracking systems.
- Identify IT adoption opportunities for new software services.
- Question proposed technical solutions logic and facilitate discussions between various groups.
- Provide cost analysis of invoice submissions to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Identify and validate business objectives, generating solutions aligned with strategy and IT standards.
- Document and assign requests/tasks to appropriate support teams, including gathered requirements and analysis for software and hardware fulfillment.
- Assist in technical projects, supporting support teams.
- Support device refresh (Lifecycle) efforts.
- Perform asset data maintenance, generate, and analyze reports.
- Generate asset tracking reports and forecasts as needed for planning and budgeting.
- Assist with licensing and compliance activities and reporting.
- Ensure accuracy of quantities in the IT asset management inventory database.
- Generate asset tracking reports as needed by team leaders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, Excel, Power BI.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in IT Asset Management related support roles.
- A demonstrated ability to participate in technical projects, handle task management, prioritization, support, and provide effective communications with team members, including status reporting.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with management, peers, and customers via reports, email, and verbal updates.
