The Role in a Nutshell
You will bridge the gap between business operations and data engineering. Your main focus is to analyze operational workflows, gather reporting requirements, and transform raw data into highly visual, actionable Tableau dashboards and performance metrics that drive business decisions.
Core Responsibilities
- Dashboarding & Data Visualization (Primary Focus)
- Build Tableau Solutions: Develop, maintain, and scale interactive Tableau dashboards and data models to track operational health and KPIs.
- Translate Data for Leaders: Turn complex datasets into clean, executive-ready visual reports that tell a clear story.
- Requirements Gathering & Process Analysis
- Map Workflows: Evaluate current business processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for automation or efficiency.
- Define Reporting Needs: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their day-to-day challenges and define their analytics and reporting requirements.
- Data Support & Implementation
- Query & Prepare Data: Use foundational SQL to pull and blend data from internal databases to fuel your Tableau dashboards and analysis.
- Support Data Pipelines: Assist in testing and launching data pipelines and reporting workflows to ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain Assets: Keep clear documentation for data sources, dashboard logic, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and analytics workflows.
Job Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years in business systems analysis, data analytics, or a similar role with a heavy emphasis on reporting.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Tableau (or similar BI tools) to design and build dashboards. Practical knowledge of SQL for data extraction, joins, and basic manipulation. Experience with data modeling, automated workflows, or mapping data pipelines.
- Core Skills: Strong process mapping, stakeholder communication, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Pluses (Nice-to-Haves)
- Advanced Tableau features (e.g., complex calculations, parameters, performance tuning).
- Experience or interest in emerging automation concepts and practical applications of AI/ML.
Pay & Benefits
Annual Pay Range: 60,300 - 85,000 USD
