Warehouse Coordinator Job Profile: B3 Position Summary The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products. This role supports inventory management, maintains accurate records, and ensures compliance with safety and operational standards within the warehouse facility. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of materials and productsMonitor workflow and adjust priorities to meet operational deadlines and service level agreementsEnsure proper handling, storage, and protection of inventory to minimize damage and lossMaintain organized warehouse layout to optimize space utilization and operational efficiency Inventory Management Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system recordsMonitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement or supply chain teams regarding reorder requirementsTrack and report on inventory accuracy metrics and identify opportunities for improvementAssist with cycle counting programs and annual physical inventory processes Documentation and Systems Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments using warehouse management systemsPrepare shipping documentation, labels, and reports as requiredProcess receiving documentation and verify shipment accuracy against purchase ordersGenerate regular operational reports on warehouse activities and key performance indicators Safety and Compliance Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating proceduresConduct regular safety inspections and report hazards or equipment malfunctionsMaintain clean and organized work environment in accordance with 5S or similar methodologiesSupport incident reporting and investigation processes as required Team Coordination Coordinate with warehouse staff, carriers, and vendors to ensure smooth operationsCommunicate priorities and special handling requirements to team membersAssist with training new warehouse personnel on procedures and systemsCollaborate with other departments to resolve operational issues and improve processes Equipment and Facility Management Coordinate maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment including forklifts and material handling devicesMonitor facility conditions and report maintenance needs to appropriate personnelEnsure proper use and care of warehouse equipment by all staff Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certification preferred2-4 years of warehouse or logistics coordination experienceExperience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory softwareForklift certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire Skills And Competencies Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data tracking and reportingEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentBasic mathematical skills for inventory calculations and reportingProblem-solving abilities and proactive approach to operational challengesPhysical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in warehouse environment Knowledge Requirements Understanding of warehouse operations, logistics processes, and inventory management principlesKnowledge of occupational safety standards and best practicesFamiliarity with shipping carriers, documentation requirements, and transportation methods Working Conditions Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperaturesStanding, walking, and physical activity for extended periodsRegular use of material handling equipment and computer systemsStandard business hours with occasional overtime during peak periodsMay require weekend or evening work depending on operational needs
