Business Support Assistant - Children & Families
The role:
As a Business Support Assistant within the Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) Service, you will play a vital role in supporting a dedicated team delivering an evidence-based programme for young first-time parents and their children. Working as part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, you will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support that helps ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Family Nurse Partnership team
- Manage telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries, ensuring a professional and confidential service at all times
- Produce, format and distribute a range of documents, reports, presentations and correspondence with a high degree of accuracy
- Maintain electronic records, databases and information systems, ensuring data is updated accurately and securely
- Support the organisation of meetings, events and training activities, including room bookings, agendas and minute taking
- Aid with procurement processes, stock control and the ordering of supplies and equipment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the service, providing cross-cover and administrative support as required
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Demonstrable experience using a range of computer packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, gained through experience or formal qualification such as ECDL
- Experience working within an administrative, secretarial or office-based role with knowledge of office systems and procedures
- Strong keyboard and data input skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with a wide range of individuals
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands and work independently
- Able to handle confidential information appropriately and work within relevant policies and procedures
- A positive, enthusiastic and team-focused approach with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
- This is a full-time permanent post
- You will be based at The Cairnbrook Centre
- Working Pattern: Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 16:30 and Friday 08:30 - 15:30
