Business Support Assistant

About the role

The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to social workers within the hospital social work team. This is a temporary position until 31st March 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Answering telephone calls and signposting patients, families, and professionals to appropriate services
  • Taking accurate messages and records
  • Handling general enquiries
  • Sending out letters, care plans, and assessments
  • Managing emails, filing, archiving, and other general administrative tasks as required

Requirements

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills

Qualifications

  • Must hold Level Two NVQ in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Must have previous experience of working in a busy office environment

Interviews

Interviews will be held on Week Commencing 27th July 2026. We operate a guaranteed interview scheme for applicants that can show they meet all the essential criteria and have indicated they have a disability, are a looked after young person, care leaver or a veteran.
