Business Solutions Manager

About the role

The Business Solutions Team is an excellent place for you to develop as an insurance professional while driving company results. As a team member, you will lead important projects, solve complex business problems, implement creative solutions, and collaborate with various individuals across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the resources assigned to key operational initiatives and projects.
• Lead design, development, and deployment of solutions, tools and processes required organization, including policy administration, billing, claims, sales, and customer portal solutions.
• Assist in leading design, development, and deployment of solutions, tools and processes required organization, including policy administration, billing, claims, sales, and customer portal solutions.
• Provide business leadership for technological initiatives, working with program managers and their teams throughout the development and delivery process, including implementation, maintenance, customer service, end-user systems training, and quality control.
• Helps to ensure data integrity, processing capabilities, and consistency in approach to support achievement of departmental and company business plan objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, mathematics, or related field, (or its equivalent).
• 8+ years of related work experience in P&C Insurance (Personal Lines, Commercial, Agriculture), particularly with respect to business processes and business solutions, with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities.
• 2+ years team management experience.
• Formal or informal experience managing projects and consulting.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance operational functions, including underwriting, rating, agency automation, sales, billing, claims, and customer service activities.
• Proven ability to assemble, mentor and grow cross-functional teams.
• Strong English communication skills through written and verbal communication, with technical and non-technical audiences, including executives and customers.
• Ability to promote and foster teamwork and a collaborative work environment.
• Ability to mentor and develop staff.
• Strong problem solving and problem identification skills to identify and mitigate obstacles and conflicts in advance.
• Experience exercising influence on outcomes both with and without formal authority.

Pay

Salary Range: $111,000 - $185,000

Schedule

This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as benefits and bonus programs.
