Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all Business Office functions, including team member safety, human resources, training, payroll, workers' compensation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and customer service.
  • Collaborate with the Compass Senior Living accounting office and assist the Administrator as needed.
  • Accept and deposit resident payments and routinely review the resident roster for accuracy.
  • Develop and implement collection plans to collect revenue.
  • Process new hire paperwork, including background checks, payroll increases, and evaluations.
  • Receive, code, and prepare invoices for payment.
  • Process payroll.
  • Manage team member training and in-service documentation.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of computers, including Excel, Word, and MS Office.
  • Desire and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Two years of bookkeeping experience, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions.
  • Two-year degree in Business or Accounting or applicable experience.
  • Detail-oriented with effective verbal/written communication skills, solid mathematical skills, and strong organizational skills.
  • Able to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Good verbal communication and the ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
  • Meet all health requirements as specified by state and/or federal regulations.
