About the role

As Business Quality Manager – Americas, you will own and drive customer-facing quality priorities across North and South America for our Growth Accelerator Industrials (GAIN) business. You will serve as a key link between our customers and Nouryon's manufacturing, commercial, and technical teams, helping translate demanding customer requirements into sustainable quality improvements that support customer satisfaction and business growth.

  • Own and drive customer-facing quality priorities across North and South America, including customer quality topics, escalations, and alignment of manufacturing-site actions.
  • Provide technical and quality expertise to customers and sales teams, serving as a subject matter expert for our products and customer applications.
  • Lead investigations into product quality issues, identify root causes and corrective actions, and provide clear quality reports and responses to customers.
  • Partner with manufacturing sites to strengthen quality management systems, QA/QC processes, analytical methods, and quality routines.
  • Lead strategic quality improvement projects and collaborate with R&D and Technology teams to support new products, grades, and methods.
  • Build strong relationships across customers, sales, manufacturing, R&D/Technology, and other key functions to continuously improve our quality capabilities and customer value proposition.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical and/or quality management.
  • Experience working in or supporting the Automotive, Electronics, and/or Semiconductor industries.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A Master's degree or other postgraduate degree in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Extensive experience in Quality Assurance, ideally more than 5 years.
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 and/or SEMI standards, and/or certification as an ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 auditor.
  • Knowledge of structured quality and problem-solving methodologies, including data analysis, MSA, FMEA, RCPS, CAPA, and 8D reporting.
  • Project management experience.

This is a permanent, full-time, onsite position, reporting to the Business Quality Director – GAIN, and based at our Battleground site in the Houston/La Porte, Texas area.
