About the role

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.

As a Data Center Operations Business Program Manager (BPM), you are responsible for supporting Google Data Center facilities operations and driving business excellence at a site level. Core responsibilities include robust financial support, strategic negotiations with partners, non-critical infrastructure project management, and co-driving regional strategic initiatives with different stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage site-level capital expenditures and operational expenditures budgets, including financial planning, reporting, and resource stewardship for multi-million dollar portfolios within Data Center Operations.
  • Act as the primary finance business partner for infrastructure projects and site launches, ensuring financial compliance and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including preparing strategic Statement of Work (SOWs)/Framework Services Agreement (FSAs), managing purchase orders, and troubleshooting vendor invoices.
  • Drive agreement governance and vendor performance, utilizing bench marking tools to analyze unit costs and identify redundancy reduction opportunities.
  • Lead vendor relationship management, including conflict resolution and extended workforce onboarding, while executing cross-functional assignments in evolving environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in accounting and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing multi-year/multi-million dollar service contracts, strategic vendor relationships, and end-to-end procurement lifecycles (RFP/RFQ, SOWs, and FSAs).
  • Experience with facilities management and data center critical infrastructure, including Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and legal compliance processes.
  • Experience planning and managing multi-million dollar capital expenditures and operational expenditures budgets, including financial forecasting, accrual reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Ability to collect, synthesize, and visualize complex data sources to identify operational gaps and drive process standardization or cost-reduction recommendations.
  • Strong collaboration and executive communication skills with a track record of implementing continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma).
