About the role

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an overview of project goals and deliverables presented on a timeline and use the roadmap to manage stakeholder expectations, and to communicate plans and coordinate resources.
  • Collaborate with team members or stakeholders to understand or identify work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.
  • Complete (e.g., budget, schedule, resource, technical) risk identification and risk assessment activities and mitigation plans in addition to monitoring foreseeable risk, and recording its evolution and influence on project/program objectives.
  • Establish and track processes in collaboration with stakeholders, hold stakeholders/teams accountable for following the established processes, identify sponsors and stakeholders and secure resources, ensure work alignment with compliance/privacy policies, identify opportunities, implement process improvements, and support/promote the adoption of processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Accounting, Engineering, a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in program/project management or facilities operations, with experience in data center infrastructure and EHS requirements.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Statements of Work (SOWs) and service agreements.
  • Experience in corporate accounting, managing purchase order lifecycles, and accounts payable/accounts receivable processes.

Preferred qualifications

  • Program Management certification or experience in program management with a technology company.
  • Experience managing multi-year/multi-million dollar service contracts, strategic vendor relationships, and end-to-end procurement lifecycles (RFP/RFQ, SOWs, and FSAs).
  • Experience planning and managing multi-million dollar CapEx and OpEx budgets, including financial forecasting, accrual reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with facilities management and data center critical infrastructure, including Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and legal compliance processes.
  • Strong collaboration and executive communication skills with a track record of implementing continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma).
