About the role
The Business Process Engineer (BPE) leads process design, standardization, and continuous improvement across the Supply Chain organization. This role drives measurable improvements in performance, productivity, and process reliability through Lean methodologies and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate project-based improvement efforts, including process mapping, root cause analysis, solution design, and implementation of standardized workflows.
- Leverage Lean methodologies and data-driven decision-making to enhance operational performance, standardization, and scalability.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate technology and automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Partner with operational leaders, staff, clinical stakeholders, and vendors to ensure alignment, adoption, and sustainability of process improvements.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to Supply Chain leadership, providing insight into process performance, identifying areas of opportunity, and recommending solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Support training and the development of a continuous improvement culture within the Supply Chain organization.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required. Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in operations, supply chain, or process improvement roles, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional improvement initiatives.
- Experience applying Lean methodologies, process mapping, and structured problem-solving approaches required.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze process performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable solutions in a complex, multi-functional environment required.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption of process changes across cross-functional teams preferred.
- Experience in supply chain operations, logistics, or materials management preferred.
- Experience in Healthcare Operations or Multi-site Organizations preferred.
- Experience delivering training, facilitating workshops, or teaching process improvement concepts preferred.
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform job duties safely and effectively.
- Valid State of Nevada or California driver's license and ability to pass Renown Health's Department of Motor Vehicle Report criteria.
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or a related process improvement methodology preferred. Green Belt or higher certification is strongly preferred.
- Additional certifications in project management, change management, or process improvement disciplines are a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Word.
