Salary Range: $69,388.80 - $86,736.00
This is an exempt position.
Pay rates are based on education, skill, experience level and internal equity.

The County Manager’s Office is responsible for executing the policy decisions of the Board of County Commissioners and leading the County organization by overseeing the administration of County departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage process improvement projects ranging from small to medium complexity.
  • Gain a high-level understanding of the organization's business processes and systems.
  • Support the BPM Consultant II on large-scale BPM or business process engineering initiatives.
  • Develop innovative, transformational process improvements by working with stakeholders.
  • Communicate proposed changes to impacted business units, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate Kaizen Events.
  • Develop proposals and strategies to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Define and document Current State, Measure and analyze the process, conduct root-cause-analysis, impact analysis and gap analysis.
  • Document Voice of the Customer (VOC).
  • Design Future State processes, Simulate/Test new process prior to implementation, Develop Control Plan for monitoring implemented process changes, Conduct Change Management analysis.
  • Facilitate presentations with project artifacts and data collected and analyzed during the project phases.
  • Provide Project oversight on small to medium projects, Provide Project or Program support on medium to large enterprise projects.
  • Support change management efforts to transition the organization to new system and/or business model.
  • Establish and document core business process and high-level functional requirements that support ITS application development.
  • Review business requirements with customer and business partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of business process engineering and/or system engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or other technical degree requiring methodical analytical skills.
  • Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted: Yes.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt required or must obtain within six (6) months of hire.
  • May require a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver’s License.

Qualifications

  • Preferred degree/concentrations: Engineering, Computer Science, Business Requirements and Analysis, Project Management (PMI), Business Intelligence, Leadership, Customer Relationship Management.
  • Knowledge of Business Process Management (BPM) Methodology, Project Management Industry standards, Quality assurance principles and practices, Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Understanding of major business functions, industry trends, and own organization’s position to contribute to effective business strategies and tactics.
  • Proficient in various computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
