Business Process Analyst

The Joint, Office of the Secretary of War, Interagency Division (JOID) provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets, specializing in analytical and programmatic capabilities to help customers make informed decisions on challenging issues.
The Acquisition and Technology Analysis Group within JOID applies multi-disciplinary analytic skills to support clients such as the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)), Office of the Under Secretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSW(A&S)), DARPA, the Joint Staff, and USINDOPACOM. SPA provides critical decision support to enable a strategy of technological superiority, ensuring secure, resilient, and preeminent capabilities for the warfighter.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive business operations, correspondence management, data governance, and workflow support to the DASW (SSIPM) Front Office at the Pentagon.
- Manage CATMS tasking and track actions for senior leadership; prepare, review, and coordinate staff packages and official correspondence.
- Maintain control systems for classified and unclassified documentation.
- Support front office workflow development, process improvement, personnel training, weekly meeting coordination, and administrative operations across SSIPM.
- Perform data deconstruction of policy, law, regulation, and guidance into structured data elements, definitions, and business rules; prepare governance packages for steward review.
- Update data repositories used to support DoW acquisition governance.
- Engage with senior leaders, execute precise communication, and manage multiple high-priority tasks under tight deadlines.
- Support the DoW transition to electronic records management and improved enterprise data clarity.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
- 5+ years supporting DoW headquarters or similar military staff organizations, with experience in correspondence management and senior leader coordination.
- Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and managing official documents and staff packages.
- Knowledge of DoW records management standards and electronic records systems.
- Experience with data definitions, data deconstruction, governance, or acquisition-related data.
- Proficiency with commercial data analytics or governance tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Able to work fully onsite at the Pentagon.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (may substitute with a Bachelor's degree and two additional years of experience in data-centric requirements).
- Desired: 5+ years of data governance or acquisition policy support.

Pay
Salary range: USD $135,000.00/Yr. - USD $155,000.00/Yr.
