Responsibilities
- Meet with employees, managers, and subject matter experts to understand existing business processes.
- Create process maps, workflow diagrams, standard operating procedures, and supporting documentation.
- Identify process gaps, duplicate data entry, manual workarounds, and repetitive administrative activities.
- Aid in project coordination by assisting with scheduling and participating in project meetings, process-discovery sessions, and requirements reviews.
- Document meeting notes, decisions, action items, risks, and follow-up activities.
- Support project managers, department leaders, and technical team members with project documentation.
- Aid in testing and implementation by assisting with the development of test plans, test scenarios, and user acceptance testing documentation.
- Coordinate with end users to validate that application changes meet documented requirements.
- Create implementation checklists, user guides, training materials, and support documentation.
- Support process improvement, automation, and AI by identifying repetitive, manual, or time-consuming activities, documenting potential opportunities, and monitoring feedback.
- Assist with application support and documentation by documenting requested application upgrades, enhancements, and defect corrections, maintaining application documentation, and delivering basic presentations, demonstrations, and training materials.
Requirements
- Gather and document business needs for application changes, reports, workflows, integrations, and new internal tools.
- Translate business requests into clear functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Document expected outcomes, business rules, exceptions, and user needs.
- Review documented requirements with business stakeholders and technical team members.
- Aid in maintaining traceability between business requests, development tasks, testing, and implementation.
Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work for any employer in the US; diploma or GED.
- One to three years of experience in business analysis, project coordination, process documentation, application support, operations, or a related role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and follow through on action items.
- Basic understanding of business processes and software applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical employees.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365 applications.
- Willingness to learn new systems, tools, and business processes.
