About the role

Join Staples’ Finance Analytics team and play a critical role in shaping data-driven business decisions. As a Senior Analyst II, you’ll analyze complex financial data, influence strategic initiatives, and partner closely with business leaders to drive profitability and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions and strategies
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports, trends, and forecasts for senior leadership
  • Partner cross-functionally to gather, validate, and analyze financial data
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and models tracking key performance indicators
  • Identify financial risks and provide actionable recommendations
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with organizational goals
  • Perform scenario analysis to inform planning and investment decisions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressively complex experience in financial analysis or related field
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion)
  • Experience using SQL and/or data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling
  • Experience analyzing large and complex financial data sets
  • Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles
