Business Process Analyst

About the role
The Business Process Analyst will work closely with Project Managers, functional groups, stakeholders, and technical staff to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data and information in support of projects. The role requires strong partnership with business stakeholders to drive process improvement delivery through exemplary process design, improvement, and management skills using proven best-practice techniques and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Works with a variety of project teams during various stages of the project to define, analyze, document, and publish project data, surveys, business processes, and information exchange requirements.
- Builds relationships across the enterprise and understands at a high level what initiatives are moving forward in other areas of Covista.
- Conducts business systems process analysis and needs assessments to identify business process improvements.
- Identifies and works with the appropriate Subject Matter Experts to understand and produce business/project data.
- Coordinates User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of respective department functions.
- Communicates with project teams after UAT execution to inform them of results, including any issues, problems, or risks with the process or application.
- Manages multiple assignments according to documented plans, monitors, and reports progress to ensure that required work is delivered on time.
- Works closely with all stakeholders to ensure smooth "go live" when new systems or processes are moved into production.
- Develops and maintains a solid knowledge of federal, state, and institutional policies and business processes, and shares such knowledge with other stakeholders.
- Archives project documentation, test results, and any relevant information according to business standards and processes.
- Works on projects that include significant strategic delivery to achieve successful results.
- Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or other related field or equivalent experience.
- 1+ year of experience modeling/designing business processes and/or analyzing data to support business decisions or hypotheses (required).
- Business operations experience/background (preferred).
- Experience with IT systems analysis/design (preferred).
- Demonstrated success establishing clear priorities to achieve business outcomes.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and work with multiple projects simultaneously.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills; must be able to manage tasks and projects with minimal guidance.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision and direction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Outlook.
Schedule
Hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week (Monday–Thursday).
Pay
The expected salary range for this position is between $53,521 and $75,836. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience, training, geographic location, licensure, certifications, market factors, departmental budgets, and responsibility.
