About the role
BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking an Acquisition Specialist/Analyst with 3+ years of experience to support the development of program acquisition documentation, funding documents, mission requirements, and compliance at Contractor and Government sites in Patuxent River, MD, and Norfolk, VA.
Responsibilities
- Supports and drafts program milestone related documentation to ensure compliance with all aspects of the DoD and SECNAV 5000 series directives
- Supports the development of program acquisition documentation such as Acquisition Plans (APS), Acquisition Strategy Reports (ASRs), Procurement Initiation Documents (PIDs), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Funding Documents, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Acquisition Program Baseline Agreements (APBAs)
- Assesses program procedures, practices, philosophies, and documentation for compliance with specifications, contracts, and mission requirements
- Attends, participates, supports, analyzes, provides input, develops, prepares, and reports on briefs, point papers, reports, correspondence, meetings, conferences, and review boards
Requirements
- 3 to 10 years of experience performing duties described in the functional description
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening—for staff, customer, and organizational level communications, both formal and informal
- Ability to perform all functional duties independently, self-starter
- Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint; Microsoft Project 2016; and Adobe Acrobat (reader and pro)
Qualifications
- Education: BA/BS degree. Allowable substitution of an Associate’s Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree, or Four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.

Pay
The typical annual salary range for this position is $85,000.00 USD to $93,000.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.
