About the role

A well-established food distribution company with more than 30 years of success is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to join its leadership team in Southeastern Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory, and order fulfillment.
• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse associates while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Improve warehouse efficiency through process optimization, inventory accuracy, and workflow enhancements.
• Help oversee equipment maintenance, staffing, scheduling, and operational reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure outstanding customer service and on-time delivery performance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of warehouse leadership experience within food distribution, food manufacturing, or a similar environment.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing inventory, warehouse operations, and process improvements.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Valid driver’s license.

• $75,000 - $100,000 base salary.
