About the role
This position is located in the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR).
Responsibilities
- Through subordinate activity managers, responsible for overall management and direction of the Directorate, Morale Welfare and Recreation (DMWR) Business Division at a large garrison.
- Coordinates with officials responsible for AAFES.
- Provides policies and guidance to ensure attainment of the established objectives of the division.
- Directs, develops, and administers plans and procedures.
- Implements, enforces, and ensures compliance with regulations to provide aggressive community business program which meets the needs and interests of the military community.
- Provides sound leadership and supervision to ensure attainment of the established objectives of the division.
- Develops and/or recommends methods, operations, and programs to ensure profitable business activities income.
- Reviews program objectives and priorities, and develops five-year plan with Capitol Purchase Minor Construction (CPMC) and Annual Operating Budgets covering projected programs of division resources.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Conditions of employment: Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Must meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactory completion of an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Must register or be exempt from Selective Service.
- Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience managing revenue-generating business operations for Army Family and MWR. Strong proficiency in conducting internal management reviews, cost-benefit analyses, and implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with Department of War and Department of the Army Non-appropriated Fund Standards. Minimum of 3 years of direct supervisory experience managing a diverse workforce of 15+ personnel. Minimum of 3 years experience with developing, tracking, and reporting organizational Key Performance Indicators to drive continuous process improvements, optimize resource allocation, and reduce operating costs. Minimum of 3 years experience working with Army MWR systems such as: Standard Management Information Reports for Finance (SMIRF), Financial Management Budget System (FMBS), and RecTrac.
