Business Operations Manager
About the role
TruGrid is a leading contractor of battery energy storage systems and solar projects, dedicated to advancing the energy transition across North America. The Business Operations Manager for TruGrid O&M ensures the operational, financial, and administrative backbone of the O&M organization runs efficiently, predictably, and at scale. This role partners closely with field operations, engineering, finance, and leadership to standardize processes, improve performance, manage budgets and contracts, and support the delivery of safe, reliable, and cost-effective O&M and technical services.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day business operations for the O&M organization, ensuring alignment between field execution, planning, and corporate objectives.
- Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for O&M business processes.
- Coordinate cross-functional workflows between Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and external partners.
- Track operational KPIs and drive corrective actions.
- Manage O&M budgets, forecasts, and cost controls in coordination with Finance.
- Monitor O&M contract performance, service-level agreements (SLAs), and customer commitments.
- Support pricing, cost modeling, and margin analysis for O&M contracts.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Support implementation and optimization of CMMS, ERP, and reporting tools.
- Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships and performance.
- Support compliance with safety, regulatory, contractual, and quality requirements.

Requirements
- High school education or college degree/certificate (preferred).
- Minimum 3-5 years in business operations or O&M support roles.
- Experience working in energy, utilities, infrastructure, or industrial services environments.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Proficiency with MS Suite, ERP, CMMS, and data reporting tools.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Sound judgement and critical thinking.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control.
