BUSINESS OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR

About the role
This position directly supports business operations across the agency, including facilities management, capital improvements, and inventory oversight for state-owned and rented buildings (150 N 18th Ave Phoenix AZ; 250 N 17th Ave Phoenix AZ; 501 N 24th Street Phoenix AZ; 4814 S 40th Street Phoenix AZ; 400 W Congress, Suite 116 Tucson AZ). The role oversees day-to-day administrative activities, including staff management and process optimization, as well as agency-wide business functions such as copier services, mailroom operations, and auxiliary business support.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day administrative activities, including staff management and process optimization (front desk, security, phone trees, signage, and other duties as assigned).
- Support business operations across the agency, including facilities management, capital improvements, and inventory oversight.
- Manage agency-wide business functions, including copier services, mailroom operations, and auxiliary business support (e.g., quote requests).
- Oversee the management and governance of agency email systems, Google Groups, and professional listservs to ensure secure and efficient internal and external communication.
- Other duties as assigned related to the position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of professional work experience (Master's Degree may substitute for 2 years of experience).
- Experience in facilities management or large-scale business operations.
- Familiarity with state-level procurement and administrative requirements.
- Proficiency in managing Google Workspace enterprise tools (Groups, Gmail, Drive).
- Strong leadership, mentoring, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Highly collaborative approach to working across multiple agency divisions.
- Ability to support a diverse, multi-cultural workforce and promote equal opportunity.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Pay
$100,000 per year.
