Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day office operations including billing, resident accounts, and accounts receivable
- Oversee Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing and collections
- Aid residents and families with financial inquiries, account management and payment arrangements
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, HIPAA requirements and company policies
- Prepare monthly financial, census and operational reports for facility administration
- Partner with the admissions team to verify insurance coverage and appropriate payer sources
- Collaborate regularly with department leaders and the corporate finance team
- Support internal and external audits, surveys and regulatory reviews
- Respond professionally and promptly to resident, family and employee inquiries
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance office efficiency
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, or a related field (preferred)
- Prior experience in a healthcare or long-term care business office setting required
- Strong knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing, collections and reimbursement processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
