About the Role
As the Business Office Manager at Cypress Village, you will provide Human Resources and Financial support to the community and Executive Director. This role is a key member of the community’s management team, adhering to policies and procedures while upholding the community’s mission, philosophy, values, and the company’s vision, principles, and Hospitality Promises.
Responsibilities
- Provide HR and financial support to the community and Executive Director.
- Adhere to and uphold community policies, procedures, mission, and values.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports to meet required deadlines.
- Train small to medium-sized groups of employees.
- Plan and organize meetings and events.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee, resident, vendor, and company records and data.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Compute simple math, including units of American money.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Multi-task, balance team and individual responsibilities, and respond promptly to resident and visitor needs.
Requirements
- Must possess a current and valid driver’s license consistent with vehicle size and state laws.
- Must have a personal driving record that meets the company’s Driver Selection Policy.
- Doctor’s statement verifying freedom from communicable disease, if required by your state.
- Willingness to be available for any/all community emergencies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in English to read, write, comprehend, and communicate simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Typing speed of 40 or more words per minute.
- Excellent telephone communication skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong inter-department communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience computing simple math, including handling American currency.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but straightforward instructions.
- Ability to handle problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Experience & Education
- Associate’s degree in accounting, business, or human resources (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or human resources (preferred).
- Minimum of one year supervising staff.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in accounts receivable, payroll, and human resources.
