The Business Office Manager / Medicaid Specialist oversees financial operations, focusing on Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance billing. The role also involves completing billing, accounts receivable, and office functions accurately and timely according to established procedures and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations, including census and billing practices with a strong focus on Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance billing
- Monitor financial reporting and trends
- Provide guidance and support to ensure efficient billing practices
- Accurately manage resident accounts and maintain proper Medicaid eligibility and documentation
- Accurately and timely complete all billing, accounts receivable, admission, and office functions in accordance with established procedures and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in long term care/skilled nursing facility business office preferred
- Strong knowledge and willingness to learn about Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party insurance billing
- Understanding of financial reporting and regulatory compliance in healthcare
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
