The Business Office Manager Assistant is responsible for billing and collection of the community's revenue in accordance with current acceptable accounting principles, state and federal regulations, administrative policies and procedures, and as directed by the Business Office Manager and Administrator. The Business Office Manager Assistant will record census, cash, and revenue, counsel residents and responsible parties regarding their financial responsibilities, and maintain documentation of collection efforts.
Responsibilities
- Handle billing and collection of the community’s revenue following accounting principles and regulations.
- Record census, cash, and revenue accurately.
- Counsel residents and responsible parties regarding financial responsibilities.
- Maintain documentation of collection efforts.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, co-workers, support agencies, and community staff.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Associate’s degree or higher preferred but not required.
- Ability to communicate in English and follow verbal/written instructions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work scheduled hours based on position requirements.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a long-term care business office or related healthcare setting preferred.
