Business Objects (BO) / Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) Administrator

About the Role

Argo Cyber Systems seeks a skilled BO/OBIEE Administrator passionate about virtualization technology with a proven administration track record. Must have an active US Government Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure OBIEE 12c on RHEL 7/8.
• Create users and roles within OBIEE.
• Deploy RDP repository.
• Maintain OBIEE 12c and OAS environments, including applying patches, scheduling maintenance, and installing releases.
• Administer WebLogic and Fusion middleware using the WebLogic Console.
• Monitor environments with Oracle Enterprise Manager (EM).
• Apply and update quarterly security STIGs for Apache and WebLogic.
• Coordinate with cross-infrastructure teams.
• Create schedules and cutover plans for upgrades and patches.
• Clone instances for test and disaster recovery purposes.
• Understand OBIEE/OAS administration in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Participate in design and staff meetings.
• Stay updated on OBIEE administration best practices.
• Troubleshoot production OBIEE administration issues and document root cause analysis.
• Lead new implementations, enhancements, and production support.
• Create service requests with Oracle and collaborate with developers and DBAs.
• Coordinate production migrations ensuring adherence to audit protocols.
• Review patch releases and recommend system enhancements.
• Develop desk procedures and documentation.

Requirements

• 8 years of OBIEE or similar systems administration experience.
• Led a minimum of two full upgrades of OBIEE or similar systems.
• Experience with DEERS and Single Sign-On integration.
• WebLogic 12c administration experience.
• Linux RHEL 7/8 experience.
• Experience in developing project timelines, plans, requirements, scope, and issue documentation.
• Collaboration with business owners to gather and document requirements and functional specifications.
• Data analysis, design, and configuration of production modules.
• Experience in an ERP environment highly integrated with multiple modules.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Business process redesign experience.
• Analysis to determine system configuration impacts from patches and upgrades.
• Experience in a local government environment.

Qualifications

• IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent) or a qualifying Bachelor's Degree.
