Job Summary
The Business Intelligence Database Administrator is responsible for monitoring and administering SQL Servers supporting the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Key duties include securing and optimizing SQL Server performance, developing ETL processes, and supporting and developing reports in Power BI and SSRS.
Essential Functions, Duties And Responsibilities
- Analyze and document business reporting requirements and identify appropriate reporting mechanisms.
- Work with the Business Intelligence Architect to design solutions meeting stakeholder expectations.
- Create functional requirements and design documents.
- Strive to improve BI solutions and other systems through ongoing research and understanding of business needs.
- Assist developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing BI solutions.
- Provide expertise and support to end users and other IT support team members.
- Conduct research on emerging BI tools and strategies.
- Communicate with business stakeholders to understand needs and develop BI solutions.
- Design and manage data warehouse improvement and growth projects.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies and issues ensuring data consistency and integrity.
- Diagnose and resolve data warehouse access and performance issues.
- Execute data warehouse configuration and performance tuning.
- Maintain system details within the data warehouse, including stored procedures, indexes, partitions, query execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with the Information Security team to ensure data security measures are in place.

Industry And Work Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience with SQL Server versions 2016 or above components including integration services, reporting services (Native Mode), and index creation and management required.
- Bachelor's degree required.
