About the role

Computershare Corporate Trust (CCT) provides trustee and sophisticated agency services for private and public companies, investment bankers, asset managers, government agencies, and other financial institutions. As a Business Negotiations Consultant IV, you will vet the feasibility of new transactions, build client relationships, review and negotiate contracts, summarize requirements, present transactions for approval, and close deals. You will collaborate with legal, account management, and onboarding teams, and may oversee other Business Negotiations Consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Review deal documents and actively participate in or manage deal negotiations and risk mitigation for complex securitization, debt issuance, mortgage portfolio, and/or servicing administration transactions with investment banks, private equity firms, finance companies, mortgage companies, law firms, rating agencies, and credit providers.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention by facilitating the resolution of significantly complex technical problems or general account service issues.
  • Review drafts of documents, make recommendations on deal terms, document language, and pricing; have direct authority to sign deal documents.
  • Independently complete various research and process definition projects.
  • Interact significantly with the sales force to provide process expertise for sales calls, meetings, and presentations.
  • Assist with vetting business opportunities and assessing their appropriateness for the respective line of business within CCT.

Requirements

  • 10 years of Corporate Trust experience, preferably in CLO.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent client rapport.
  • Ability to read, understand, and negotiate complex structured finance, agency, and other transactional agreements.
  • Ability to lead, manage, supervise, and/or train others, and assign workloads.
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Interactions

  • Internal: Sales, Relationship Management teams, Legal teams, Middle Office, and Operations.
  • External: Attorneys and client partners, which may include very senior positions.

Pay

The base pay range for this role is $115,000 - $170,000 (national average; may vary by location).
