About the role

This role assesses, optimizes, and drives improvements across the end-to-end revenue cycle, delivering insights, operational solutions, and change leadership that strengthen performance, compliance, and financial outcomes.

Core responsibilities include end-to-end process assessment and optimization—identifying compliance, leakage, and performance gaps, validating data quality and billing workflows, and supporting remediation design, testing, and implementation—while coordinating with operations, IT, and clinical stakeholders to drive execution. The position also provides risk and compliance oversight, translating regulatory and government billing requirements into operational impacts, alongside program and project management, cross-functional facilitation, change management, and customer engagement.

  • Serves as a consultant to ensure alignment, buy-in, and coordination of diverse stakeholders for successful business initiatives and projects.
  • Develops requirements for complex business, process, or system solutions by interfacing with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Provides insight and supports the development and implementation of business initiatives, systems, and processes to achieve a desired future state.
  • Contributes to business strategy and supports organizational alignment and prioritization of business initiatives.
  • Manages complex projects or project components; coordinates stakeholder contacts, resources, and schedules; monitors and mitigates risks.
  • Participates in and may lead change management activities, ensuring stakeholders embrace and understand the intent and purpose of changes.
  • Performs data analyses to support business initiatives by identifying appropriate tools and methods, conducting analyses, and evaluating solution effectiveness.
  • Supports vendor management by reviewing vendor performance, ensuring service level agreements are met, and managing vendor invoices.
  • Monitors compliance of work activities by ensuring adherence to relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and minimum five (5) years of experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations, or a directly related field.
  • OR Master’s degree in Business, Public Health, or a directly related field and minimum three (3) years of experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations, or a directly related field.
  • OR Minimum eight (8) years of experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations, or a directly related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of experience consulting in a large multi-hospital system.
  • Three (3) years of experience working with outpatient/ambulatory service line optimization.

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Monday–Friday
  • 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • 10% travel required

Pay

$117,900 – $152,570 per year. Kaiser Permanente strives to offer a market-competitive total rewards package and is committed to pay equity and transparency. The posted pay range is based on possible base salaries for the role and does not reflect the full value of the total rewards package. Actual base pay determined at offer will be based on labor market data, internal alignment, and a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

  • Primary Location: California, Pasadena, East Annex - Parsons
  • Flexible worker location must align with Kaiser Permanente's Authorized States policy.
