Business Manager - Transaction Banking VP
About the Role
Join Barclays as a Business Manager - Transaction Banking VP, where you will drive the strategic, financial, and operational management of the Transaction Banking business. In this role, you will partner closely with Product, Sales, Operations, Technology, Risk, Finance, and Compliance teams to support business growth, enhance profitability, improve the client experience, and ensure effective governance across cash management, payments, trade finance, liquidity solutions, and other transaction banking services. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing business insights, performance management, strategic planning, and execution support to help achieve the bank’s revenue and growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Implementation of Target Operating Model, business development, and financial and non-financial resource allocation, providing strategic insight and thought leadership.
- Strategic support to and oversight of demand pipeline and the book of work, including assistance in the development and execution of strategic initiatives, projects, research, and analysis to support decision-making.
- Support to and guidance for operational efficiency and colleague/customer/client experience, including identification of areas for improvement, streamlining processes, and implementing best practices to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
- Management of people plan, talent development, and succession planning, including identification of high-potential employees, provision of mentorship, and support for leadership development and diversity initiatives.
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders, management of communication channels, and ensuring effective coordination across departments and teams.
- Participation in compliance activities such as SMR and other regulatory registrations/certifications, as well as support for crisis management and risk mitigation, including development of contingency plans and business continuity.
- Management of organizational/team requirements relating to technology, real estate, people, and communications in conjunction with relevant partners across the firm.
- Enable oversight of risk management and compliance with internal and external requirements, including internal Governance on critical control activities in partnership with the CCO team.
- Cost control and workforce management of the Business/Function, including financial analysis and planning, forecasting, and monitoring financial performance against targets.
Requirements
- P&L management, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue growth, expense management, profitability analysis, and financial performance optimization.
- Exceptional PowerPoint and executive presentation skills, with the ability to develop compelling, data-driven materials and deliver strategic insights to senior leadership and executive committees.
- Strategic planning, business management, and financial forecasting, with a proven ability to translate business objectives into actionable growth initiatives and measurable outcomes.
- Leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance business performance, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Transaction Banking product knowledge across payments, cash management, liquidity, trade finance, and working capital solutions.
- Experience supporting large corporate and multinational clients.
- Financial modeling expertise.
- Stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, communicate effectively with executive leadership, and navigate complex organizational environments.

Pay
Minimum Salary: $130,000
Maximum Salary: $200,000
The salary range includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
