Business Manager - CDX Product Strategy
About the role
The Business Analysis Manager at Capital One applies strategic and analytical skills to address major company challenges. Reporting to the CDX Strategy team, you will lead product strategy, direct-to-consumer marketing, and execution while working closely with various departments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and competitive success under evolving market conditions.
- Lead product strategy and product-level modeling/analytics, and oversee direct-to-consumer marketing efforts.
- Build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences and innovative technologies.
- Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, manage business requirements, and execute product strategy.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Capital One, including Tech, Design, Marketing, Operations, and others, to improve initiatives and execute critical tasks.
- Apply a strategic and analytic orientation, with a strong quantitative background, to make informed decisions and solve problems.
- Exercise strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity to make decisions that drive results and maintain a positive team culture.
- Communicate effectively and influence stakeholders to achieve business objectives, and demonstrate a clear focus on achieving both short and long-term goals.
- Work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment, and thrive in a role that requires a combination of strategic thinking, analytical skills, and leadership.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in analysis.
- A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field).
- A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration.
- Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering, with 5+ years of experience in analysis.
- 2+ years of experience in financial services and 1+ year of experience in consulting.
- 2+ years of experience in people management.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering; 5+ years of experience in analysis; 2+ years of experience in financial services; 1+ year of experience in consulting; 2+ years of experience in people management.

Pay
Salaries for this role vary by location, ranging from $149,800 - $171,000 for Business Manager in Chicago, IL, to $179,700 - $205,100 for Business Manager in New York, NY. Part-time roles will be prorated based on the agreed-upon number of hours to be regularly worked. Incentives may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI), which could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
