About the role
The Business Analysis Manager at Capital One applies strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. Reporting to the CDX Strategy team, you will lead product strategy, product-level modeling, and direct-to-consumer marketing efforts. You will also manage and sequence delivery of business intent, oversee multiple projects and programs, and partner with colleagues across Capital One.
Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and competitive success under shifting consumer and regulatory demands.
- Product: Lead product strategy and product-level modeling/analytics.
- Marketing: Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Build targeted insights to inform new customer experiences and breakthrough technology.
- Execution: Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements, and execute against the product strategy.
- Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including Tech, Design, Marketing, Operations, and others to drive improvements and execute on critical initiatives.
- Strategic & analytic orientation: Make decisions and solve problems based on analytics, combining conceptual thinking with a strong quantitative orientation.
- Strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity: Be a tenacious decision maker with a responsible approach to business.
- Solid people leadership experience: Build and leverage the capabilities of a high-performing team and business partners across the enterprise.

Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience performing analysis.
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
- A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
- Or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in analysis
- 2+ years of experience in financial services
- 1+ year of experience in consulting
- 2+ years of experience in people management
