Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review close outs, tax returns, etc.
  • Supervise engagement (job) project management, ensure QC (technical) standards along with Tax Manager.
  • Take care of the client (meet deadlines, timely communication).
  • Develop engagement team (prepare associates for the next level).
  • Understand and explain the reasons behind the firm’s policies, procedures, and project management techniques.
  • Possess technical knowledge sufficient to supervise lower-level associates.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2, but typically 3+, years of experience in public accounting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting OR Bachelor’s Degree plus requisite accounting coursework.
  • Ability to be flexible in changing work priorities and handle numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to act in a responsive manner to client inquiries and requests; escalate more difficult issues as necessary.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with corporate taxation, individual taxation, close-outs for loan-out corporations servicing the entertainment industry.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, CCH Prosystems, and Datafaction is a plus.

Pay

$85,000 - $110,000
