Masco is seeking a hands-on technical leader to own the end-to-end BI delivery experience for enterprise POS and adjacent commercial analytics.

About the Role

The BI Delivery Leader owns the central enterprise dashboards and the full Power BI service, directs BI Developers on visualization, semantic modeling, and metric development, and ensures analytics outputs align with the requirements and expectations of BU and HQ stakeholders. This role drives adoption of a governed, reusable enterprise BI foundation.

Responsibilities

  • BI Delivery Leadership
    • Own the central enterprise dashboards delivered on Power BI over the governed enterprise foundation.
    • Lead BI Developers on visualization, semantic modeling, and metric development, coaching on standards and quality.
    • Direct BI Developers across onshore and offshore engagement, serving as the technical lead for offshore BI resources and the bridge back to onshore leads.
    • Contribute directly as a senior BI developer on critical or complex builds.
    • Manage the backlog of visualization and semantic modeling projects, including dissemination and adoption.
  • Power BI Service & Development Lifecycle
    • Own the end-to-end Power BI service experience, including workspace management, provisioning, access, and version control.
    • Own the development lifecycle within the BI environment, from dev through production, with clear release and promotion practices.
    • Own the testing and validation process for dashboards, semantic models, and metric releases.
    • Oversee governing and refreshing of certified data sources.
    • Monitor Power BI service consumption, licensing, and related costs, and contribute to BI tooling budget conversations.
    • Monitor dashboard usage metrics and recommend proliferation or deprecation of visuals based on adoption and value.
  • Dashboard & Reporting Asset Management
    • Own the ongoing management of enterprise dashboards and reporting assets across their lifecycle, from launch through enhancement and retirement.
    • Maintain the enterprise inventory of dashboards, semantic models, and reporting assets, including purpose, ownership, data sources, refresh cadence, and lifecycle status.
    • Prioritize enhancement requests and defect resolution, and retire duplicate or low-value assets to maintain a trusted, streamlined enterprise BI foundation.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination & Vendor Management
    • Coordinate with the Data Engineering Leader on interdependent tasks for delivery and release of visualization, semantic model, and metric changes.
    • Coordinate with the Technical Product Owner and Business Data Analyst to confirm initial requirements are delivered.
    • Coordinate with BU and HQ analytics and insights teams on BU-specific views built off the central enterprise platform to ensure consistency with the governed foundation.
    • Maintain vendor relationships for visualization and adjacent toolsets, and contribute to tool evaluations and licensing decisions.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Management
    • Establish documentation standards for semantic models, dashboards, metrics, and Power BI service configuration.
    • Ensure BI Developers document metric definitions, dashboard purpose, data sources, and refresh dependencies as part of the definition of done.

  • Enterprise Data Architect: Align semantic layer and metric definitions with the governed enterprise model.
  • Data Engineering Leader: Coordinate on interdependent delivery and release timing.
  • Technical Product Owner and Business Data Analyst: Confirm requirements and receive prioritized demand for the BI backlog.
  • BI Developers: Provide technical direction, coaching, and delivery accountability.
  • BU and HQ analytics and insights stakeholders: Align on requirements, adoption, and enhancement priorities.
  • Vendors and toolset partners: Maintain relationships and represent Masco in roadmap and licensing conversations.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
    • Substantial hands-on experience as a BI Developer or in a similar role, with proven delivery of enterprise BI solutions.
    • Experience leading BI or analytics teams, including dotted-line or delivery-lead responsibility.
    • Experience owning the Power BI service experience end to end, including workspace management, provisioning, and release lifecycle.
  • Technical Skills
    • Advanced hands-on expertise with Power BI, including Tabular models, DAX, semantic modeling, and workspace/service administration.
    • Strong understanding of the medallion architecture (bronze / silver / gold) and how BI consumes governed enterprise data.
    • Understanding of and experience with Microsoft Fabric and how it fits alongside Power BI in a modern enterprise BI platform.
    • Advanced SQL and strong ETL/ELT familiarity for BI-facing data preparation.
    • Working knowledge of the Databricks and Azure data stack as they support the BI layer.
    • Working knowledge of Kimball dimensional modeling and efficient BI modeling practices.
    • Experience with version control and development lifecycle practices for BI assets.
    • Understanding of data governance, security, and access as they apply to enterprise BI and certified data sources.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in retail, consumer goods, or manufacturing analytics environments where POS, sell-in, inventory, and third-party retail data are core.
  • Understanding of retail metrics (turns, GMROI, margin, category performance).
  • Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog, data lineage, and observability tools.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled analytics and agentic insight patterns on top of governed semantic models.

Pay

Hiring range: $88,700.00 - $139,260.00 USD. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
