Business Insurance Senior Client Executive
About the role
The Sr. Client Executive plays a crucial role in assisting the production team in delivering high-quality service and achieving client satisfaction. They are responsible for guiding and supporting the account team, managing client relationships, and driving strategy for client deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance, direction, and support to the account team for data entry into the Agency Management System.
- Demonstrate to carrier partners the importance of timing, art, and understanding the underwriter mindset to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
- Negotiate rates and coverage for renewals and competitive quotes before presenting to producers.
- Drive strategy and ownership of client deliverables and ensure meeting client expectations, including proposals, stewardship, meetings, and special projects.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships at all levels, from HR to C-Suite, and inform the account team of any significant changes.
- Adapt to the client's style to better serve their needs and coordinate with the Client Team to review tasks, status of deliverables, and provide guidance on upcoming projects.
- Coordinate with the Client Team to prepare or coordinate the preparation of deliverables for all client meetings, including scheduling meetings and working within the client's expectations on timing and deliverables.
- Attend and present deliverables to the client, together with the producer.
- Oversee the delivery of other resources where applicable, such as subject matter experts (loss control, communications, claims, etc.), providing client insight as needed to tailor these areas to the client's strategic direction.
- Support new business and renewal processes, including triage, qualification of opportunities, strategy meetings, program design, coordination of RFP preparation with internal resources, development of service plans, presentation to prospects, renewal strategy meetings, exposure analysis, submission to the market, non-admitted carrier due diligence, premium, rate, and coverage comparisons, proposal finalization, and bind order submission.
- Perform general service support tasks, such as coordinating carrier loss control recommendation compliance, complex contract review, stewardship review and preparation.
Requirements
7-10 years of relevant experience, a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, advanced degree in fields like RMIN, finance, accounting, preferred advanced designations (CIC, ARM, CRM, CPCU, AIDA), and proven ability to manage a book of business, including some independently managed and some collaboratively managed portions.
Advanced application of prioritization and organizational skills, advanced project management including delegation, extensive knowledge of products/lines and marketing techniques, in-depth understanding of program design, and extensive knowledge of how products are utilized and administered.
