About the Role

The Business and Financial Analyst at CTC plays a pivotal role in supporting the financial health and operational success of high-priority programs, particularly those aligned with national security initiatives. This position involves managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to ensure optimal utilization of resources and maximum program profitability. The analyst will be responsible for preparing cost proposals, conducting profitability analyses, monitoring project budgets, and providing financial insights to senior management. Additionally, the role requires collaboration across technical, financial, and operational teams to align project objectives with fiscal strategies. The Business and Financial Analyst will also lead small teams on lower-complexity projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes within the organization. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in financial principles, concepts, and tools
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, including complex spreadsheet analysis
  • Ability to apply financial expertise to moderately complex assignments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing small teams and project activities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of cost proposals, ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements and company policies
  • Develop and analyze cost structures and pricing strategies in collaboration with Proposal Managers
  • Conduct detailed profitability analyses for fixed-price and fixed-labor rate proposals, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Monitor project budgets using company tools such as TM1, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial guidelines
  • Analyze budget forecasts, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions to maintain project alignment
  • Lead quarterly forecasting cycles for assigned programs and indirect budgets, ensuring timely completion
  • Prepare and review monthly financial reports, ensuring data accuracy and clarity for management
  • Contribute to company-wide financial reporting, including revenue and fee recognition, limitation of funds, and project loss reports
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Procurement, and HR to optimize personnel utilization and non-labor cost forecasting
  • Develop accurate non-labor forecasts by analyzing procurement decisions and time-phasing projections
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams, financial operations, and other departments to ensure project alignment
  • Support revenue forecast processes within the division, responding to vetting actions and deadlines
  • Lead small teams on lower-complexity project activities, providing mentorship and guidance
