About the role

This role is responsible for managing multiple strategic initiatives, including quarterly release management for Client One Expense Manager (WOEM) across both Client and Visa platforms. The position provides project management leadership for the Digital Wallet and Virtual Card Program (VCP) initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, oversee technology and product releases, manage risks and dependencies, and serve as a trusted partner between Product, Technology, Operations, and external partners such as Visa and MasterCard.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee browser/desktop and mobile application releases, maintaining comprehensive project plans.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for quarterly releases and lead release management discussions with Product and Technology partners at both Client and Visa.
  • Support intake and prioritization processes, establishing transparent and consistent methods for evaluating and onboarding new work into the product backlog.
  • Ensure all defined JIRA standardization, requirement templates, and JIRA fields and labeling are implemented and followed within the teams for consistency.
  • Create and manage a release plan, coordinate cross-functional activities, and advance the work owned by the Product Area.
  • Facilitate scrum of scrum with product, scrum, and DDI leads to gather execution updates, blockers, and dependencies.
  • Track and manage intra and inter-product area dependencies, impediments to features/stories, coordinate testing approaches, and ensure necessary conversations between engineers across different teams.
  • Manage all internal communication and common groups (AD Groups, Distribution Lists, etc), ensure adherence to JIRA hygiene standards.
  • Prepare product teams for key activities and facilitate required forums with the right teams and stakeholders.
  • Act as the ECM and GPL Policy/Procedure SME while ensuring team compliance.
  • Contribute to status reports and product roadmap updates for larger leadership and product and delivery forums.
  • Support team sustainability and maturity, fostering trusted relationships across product area roles and helping teams evolve toward high performance and autonomy.
  • Drive agile best practices and coordinate with other delivery coordinators to scale these practices across product areas.
  • Identify gaps in agile practices and create effective training programs for iterative education and refreshers within teams.
  • Work with scrum masters to prepare accurate and detailed agile metrics and report discrepancies to delivery, tech, and product leaders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
  • Commercial Card Program Knowledge: Understanding of commercial credit card products, virtual cards, expense management solutions, and payment ecosystems. Familiarity with issuer, network (Visa/Mastercard), and client-facing processes.
  • Project and Program Management: Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and dependencies. Experience creating and maintaining detailed project plans, milestones, risks, and issue logs. Proven ability to drive projects from initiation through implementation.
  • Release Management: Experience coordinating technology and product releases. Ability to oversee quarterly or recurring release cycles, testing activities, readiness reviews, and stakeholder communications.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to influence and collaborate across product, technology, operations, risk, compliance, and vendor partners. Experience leading meetings, facilitating decision-making, and driving accountability.
  • Business Analysis and Requirements Management: Experience documenting business requirements, user stories, process flows, and operational impacts. Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate complex product and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Experience managing escalations and driving timely resolution of issues.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze operational, product, and technology impacts. Data-driven decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Commercial Cards, Virtual Card Programs, Digital Wallets, or Expense Management platforms (e.g., Wells One Expense Manager).
  • Familiarity with Visa commercial payment products and release processes.
  • Experience working within a large financial institution and navigating governance requirements.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar project tracking tools.
  • Experience supporting product implementations, client onboarding, or product launches.

Pay

$60.00 - $65.00/hr on W2. The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
