Business-Economics Faculty

About the role

The successful candidate will teach Principles of Finance, Investments, Advanced Corporate Finance, and select additional courses in economics such as Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Money and Banking, Behavioral Economics, Managerial Economics, and potentially other courses in their area of specialization.

Responsibilities

• Teach 24 credit hours per academic year, typically three courses per semester.
• Engage in scholarly activity and serve on committees and advisory boards.
• Advise and recruit students in the business and economics programs.

Requirements

• Hold a Ph.D. in economics or a closely related field.
• Candidates with an ABD status will also be considered.
• Master's degree and substantial professional experience may be considered for appointment as an instructor or professor of practice.

• Excellence in undergraduate teaching and research interests that involve meaningful student involvement.
• A strong commitment to collegiality, relationship-centered education, and student mentorship.

Skills

• Ability to teach a variety of economics courses at the undergraduate level.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
• Experience in advising and recruiting students.
