Business Director, Network Strategy and Intelligence

In this role within the newly formed, high-impact internal strategy arm Network Risk Strategy and Intelligence, you will own the strategic roadmap and competitive risk-reward evaluation for Capital One’s most critical network imperatives. You will act as the primary trusted advisor to senior executive leadership, blending high-level strategic vision with deep analytical rigor to drive initiatives that modernize processes with data and AI. Responsibilities
- Develop business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive success amid shifting consumer and regulatory demands.
- Manage and develop multiple analysts, coaching and mentoring associates to develop and retain talent.
- Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product-level data modeling and analytics.
- Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences, breakthrough technology, and go-to-market strategies.
- Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis.
- Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements, and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently.
- Work closely with colleagues across Capital One—including IT, Sales, Operations, and Finance—to drive improvements in quality, volume, service, and profitability.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 4 years of experience performing quantitative analysis
- At least 4 years of experience performing qualitative analysis
- At least 2 years of experience performing people management
- At least 2 years of experience performing project management
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- 2+ years of experience in financial services
- 1+ year of experience in consulting

Pay
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on the agreed-upon number of hours worked.
- McLean, VA: $230,400 - $263,000
- New York, NY: $251,400 - $286,900
- Riverwoods, IL: $209,500 - $239,100
- Chicago, IL: $209,500 - $239,100
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. The actual annualized salary offered will be reflected in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
