Business Development Sr. Director
Job Summary
Key account director for conventional ammunition and munition development/production across the Munitions and Weapon Systems (MWS) enterprise. Leads business development focused on order growth, new market expansion, and actionable capture strategies aligned with organizational priorities. Builds and manages key customer and partner relationships to drive sales of GDOTS products and services and support revenue goals in line with MWS strategic objectives.

Proactively identifies and solves problems that impact the management and direction of the business. Drives and executes long-term strategic plans for the growth of the organization. Leads the development of strategies for identifying and responding to business development opportunities, which may include internal expansion into new markets or external expansion via partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures. Develops and maintains positive relationships with customers and ensures ongoing satisfaction of the partner organization. Analyzes and presents data evaluating new business opportunities or assessing potential markets, to assist executive teams in decision making and planning. Prepares proposals, reports, or presentations demonstrating the potential value of new business opportunities.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for retaining and expanding complex company relationships for one or more divisions, product lines, or market segments, and soliciting new business from prospective customers.
- Drives and executes long-term strategic plans for the growth of the organization.
- Led the development of strategies for identifying and responding to business development opportunities, which may include internal expansion into new markets or external expansion via partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with customers and ensures ongoing satisfaction of the partner organization.
- Analyzes and presents data evaluating new business opportunities or assessing potential markets, to assist executive teams in decision making and planning.
- Prepares proposals, reports, or presentations demonstrating the potential value of new business opportunities.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participates in IRAD meetings to ensure transition of the customers’ needs into profitable investments by OTS while making customers aware of our new technologies.
- Maintains frequent dialog with the existing MWS customer base, both domestic and International (partners, end users, in-country US Government resources); and with GDOTS domestic and international business partners and allies.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree and 12-15 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Business Development.
- Discipline/Major: Business, Marketing or other related degree preferred
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to foster teamwork. Management skills. Oral and written communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships. Customer service skills. Interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a DoD environment.
