About the role

The Business Development Specialist drives demand generation and pipeline growth by managing inbound and outbound customer engagement, lead qualification, campaign execution, and targeted outreach to create sales opportunities. Success requires strong communication, prospecting and relationship-building skills, attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, and accurate CRM management to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Execute inbound and outbound engagement activities to identify, qualify, and nurture sales opportunities across multiple channels, including phone, email, and digital outreach.
  • Manage assigned sales and marketing campaigns from launch through completion, including campaign preparation, lead follow-up, outreach execution, and performance tracking.
  • Respond to inbound leads, customer inquiries, and event-generated prospects within established service level expectations while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of customer interactions, lead activity, and opportunity updates within Salesforce and other business systems.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales leadership, and internal stakeholders to improve campaign effectiveness, enhance lead quality, and contribute to pipeline growth.

Requirements

If you have 1+ years of experience in business development, demand generation, inside sales, lead qualification, customer engagement, or a related commercial role, a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, strong communication, relationship-building, and prospecting skills, with the ability to engage customers and identify qualified opportunities, experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, and demonstrate strong attention to detail in managing customer and lead information, you are the right fit.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position in Nashville, TN is $25.00 - $40.00, plus overtime eligibility. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
